Playing in the backyard with your kids. Enjoying a family hike on a scenic trail. The list of things you’d rather be doing than standing in line at the bank is endless. Which is why at First Nebraska Bank, we give you more choices so you spend less time in line at the bank.
We offer services like a smartphone app for mobile check deposit and on-the-go money management. There’s Click-N-Pay and PopMoney, so you can pay your bills or send cash to a friend or family member without licking a single stamp. And we’re now offering interactive tellers with extended banking hours at our Valley location, with other locations coming soon.
Don’t worry, though; we still have friendly, knowledgeable tellers and bankers who are happy to serve you face-to-face. We just believe that in person, online or after hours, your banking experience should be as convenient as it is enjoyable.

How is an interactive teller different from an ATM?
Interactive tellers let you interact with a live First Nebraska Bank teller in real time. Each time you use an interactive teller, you can choose to connect with a teller face-to-face as you conduct your transaction. If you want to use them like a traditional ATM, with your bank/debit card, you can. However, you can also use them to conduct more complex transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, account transfers and loan payments.
Will interactive tellers replace First Nebraska Bank employees?
Not at all. interactive tellers are an extension of our people, not a replacement for them. First Nebraska Bank interactive tellers allow us to offer extended banking hours without losing our friendly, personal touch that we all value so much.
How do I use a First Nebraska Bank interactive teller?
Simply touch the “Start” button on the screen and a First Nebraska Bank teller will appear to assist you with your transaction. Once you are connected with a teller, you will be able to see and speak with that person, and they can easily walk you through your transaction.
What kind of transactions can I do at a First Nebraska Bank interactive teller?
Most transactions that you currently conduct face-to-face with a teller can be done at an interactive teller, including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, account transfers and loan payments. Simply touch the “Start” button on the screen to connect with a live First Nebraska Bank teller and begin your transaction.
Will my conversation at the interactive teller be private?
Yes. First Nebraska Bank interactive tellers offer a number of ways to maintain your privacy as you conduct your transaction. Drive-up interactive tellers allow you to adjust the speaker volume, plug in your own ear buds or headset, use the chat feature to type messages, or scan a message written on a piece of paper for the teller to read. Your privacy is important to us, and interactive tellers allow you the flexibility to choose how you communicate with a teller.
What hours will interactive tellers be available?
You can use interactive tellers as ATMs 24/7. Interactive teller services will be available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, and from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturdays. These hours are in addition to current lobby hours, where you will continue to have the option to walk in and conduct a transaction directly with a First Nebraska Bank teller.
Are lobby hours changing?
No. The bank will remain open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Are the drive-through hours the same as the lobby?
No. The drive-through is now open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Where and when are interactive tellers available?
The first interactive tellers went live at the Valley location on July 13, 2017. We have plans to roll out the service at our other locations over the next year. Interactive tellers are available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Are there still ATMs, or is there just one interactive teller?
Interactive tellers work as ATMs 24/7, so we have two available in the drive-through and one in the lobby.
Why not simply have someone at a drive-through and extend banking hours like other banks do?
Interactive tellers are inherently more secure, which allows us to extend our hours safely. With the additional rollouts planned, interactive tellers will allow us to service customers in more than one location.
Will all First Nebraska bank locations feature interactive tellers?
We are planning to introduce interactive tellers at all locations over the next 12 months. In some of our smaller communities, we currently don’t offer ATMs, so this will be a significant expansion of services, as well as the live teller availability.
What kind of reaction are you getting from people regarding the new interactive tellers?
So far, people are loving the technology. They think it’s great that they can bank during extended hours and still talk to bank employees via the interactive teller.
